Kinetyx Sciences Inc. closes fully subscribed US$4M investment

Calgary, AB, April 13, 2022—Kinetyx is a technology company that is upgrading human movement through the development of kinesomic sensors. The company has closed a fully subscribed US$4M pre-Series A SAFE investment round, including investments from Orpyx Medical Technologies, Paddock Capital Inc., and ARB Holdings Ltd.

This round of funding supports the commercial release of Kinetyx Lab, as well as the continued research and development of the company’s consumer offering.

Kinetyx Lab combines motion sensing IMUs paired with a pressure array in sensory insoles that are easy to use but also imperceptible to the user. This will change the way researchers quantify and qualify movement.

At Kinetyx, we’ve carefully and meticulously assembled a world class team that is obsessed with enabling more and better movement for all humanity. We're incredibly excited to be providing a sneak peek of some of the exceptional work our team has been doing in making this vision a reality.

- Breanne Everett, Founder and CEO

Humanity is building a digital world that leaves physical movement behind. While gaming has established itself as our preeminent form of entertainment, it’s contributing to widespread blue light obesity. Meanwhile, despite people having a great desire to live more healthy lives, the fitness industry hasn’t yet fulfilled its potential to sustainably change our behaviours at scale.

With Kinetyx insoles, the human body becomes the joystick, where gaming and fitness can thrive together as one. Bridging the gap between these markets, Kinetyx is leveraging its technology to create an entirely new category of gaming:

Move-to-play.

The unique sensor combination of Kinetyx insoles allow for the continuous capture and digital rendering of movement, pressure, and force at the foot-ground intersection. This enables a new understanding of movement and opportunities for play.

Our move-to-play ideas are no longer an abstraction. The experiences we are developing are extremely compelling. I’m thrilled to help drive our progress with additional investment support.

- Cory Paddock, President
